Tara Bernerd
A Design Journey

In her second Rizzoli volume, Bernerd turns to travel as both muse and method, translating the spirit of each destination into spaces defined by balance, texture, and ease.

Following the success of her first book Place (Rizzoli, 2017), this highly anticipated second volume charts the evolution of Bernerd’s distinctive design philosophy through eleven of her most recent projects, including Rosewood Munich, Maroma, a Belmond Hotel, The Hari Hong Kong and the forthcoming Six Senses Milan.

From the sun-dappled rooms of a modernist villa in Ibiza to the crafted serenity of a Japanese urban retreat, A Design Journey illustrates Bernerd’s uniquely intuitive approach: layered, soulful spaces that uplift, transport and linger in the memory. Her commitment to craftsmanship, timeless style and a warm, understated luxury has earned her international acclaim.

Published by Rizzoli, the book features a foreword by longtime friend and collaborator Tyler Brûlé and text by design journalist Becky Sunshine.

Available worldwide from March 2026 in leading bookstores and online.
