Interior Design Internship Position


Tara Bernerd and Partners are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Interior Design Intern to join our design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring designer to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced and creative interior design studio, supporting projects from concept development through to completion.


The successful candidate will work alongside experienced designers and gain exposure to all stages of the design process, working within luxury hospitality and/or high-end residential and restaurant sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design team in maintaining the creative vision and design intent throughout projects.

SENIOR FURNITURE DESIGNER


Tara Bernerd & Partners is seeking an exceptional Senior Furniture & Product Designer to join our London studio.


This is an opportunity to work across some of the world’s leading hospitality, residential and lifestyle projects, contributing to landmark developments in London, Milan, Paris, New York, the Middle East and beyond. The role offers the chance to shape both bespoke furniture for international projects and future TB&P furniture and product collections, working alongside some of the industry’s most respected luxury brands, manufacturers and collaborators.


The role will also contribute to the development of future TB&P collections and collaborations with leading luxury brands and manufacturers, including partners such as Frette and Medea 1905. This offers a unique opportunity to work across bespoke project design, product development and international brand collaborations within a globally recognised design studio.


Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 7–10 years’ experience within luxury hospitality, residential, furniture or product design. Experience in industrial/product design is also a plus. The successful candidate will combine creative flair with technical rigour, bringing a sophisticated understanding of furniture, craftsmanship, materials and manufacturing. We are looking for a designer who is equally comfortable developing an original concept, creating a compelling design narrative and resolving every detail required to bring a product successfully from concept through to production.


The role will involve working primarily on TB&P’s high-profile hospitality and commercial residential projects, as well as developing a continuing ‘in-house’ furniture and product range.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong design point of view, a broad understanding of contemporary and historical design, and an appreciation for luxury hospitality, residential environments and global design culture. They will bring both creative confidence and technical expertise, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to the wider design conversation within the studio. They will be required to produce in depth detailed furniture designs in response to briefs and deadlines created in collaboration with the design teams. A broad appreciation of design is essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Both interpret & create detailed design briefs to produce comprehensive packages of bespoke furniture, lighting and product concepts for luxury hospitality and residential projects.

  • Strong concept generation and visualisation in early stages of projects translation into fully resolved designs through sketching, modelling, rendering and technical development.

  • Strong practical insight into manufacturing/artisanal techniques for high-end furniture construction and production. 

  • 3D modelling and detailed rendering (Rhino & Keyshot currently used, others are possible).

  • Produce technical drawing packages (AutoCAD compatible).

  • Review technical submissions, prototypes and production samples to ensure quality, functionality and design integrity.
